fortune has it that i was on a trip to tokyo with some of my school mates the day this game was released to the world. so i dragged my homestay family to the poke'mon center in Ginza, Tokyo. I was lucky enough to purchase one of the first games released to the world before they all sold out. lol 
unfortunately i had yet to buy a DS lite. so i again dragged my family off to akihabara, to get one at a low cost. so thats my story. luckily i can read japanese and the game was kanji-less lol. that and it had great graphics, compared to all previous versions.
