The Story Connections!

In journey to Jo'Burg, Naledi has a South African country. I can relate to this culture and the Novel.

  1. They speak english just like Americans. America, and South Africa, were both colinized by the English. We both have weird speaking accents as well.

  2. Much farming and Agriculture is done in South Africa. Much, farming is done in America as well. I really enjoy farming. One day I may become one.

  3. So much racism is done in America. Sadly, racism is much worse in South Africa. They are still going through what America went through before Martin Luther King Jr.

  4. In the Novel, Naledi finds herself a great friend, early on. In my own life I have gotten an amazing friend early on as well.

  5. Naledi's family is demanding on her to bring help home. Many people are relying on Naledi. They are trusting that she will do her best. In America we rely on people, but for different reasons. We have health care. But we do rely on people to fix our computers, house, furniture care, ect.
