Think twice. (IMPORTANT AND HELPFUL)
If you're the kind of person that downloads games, music, ect., and you are thinking "Woopee, another free game" or something like that.
Don't be so excited, much freeware these days is spyware, keyloggers, and stuff like that. You don't want it.
To test to see if this material that you are going to download is spyware, you can do a few things.
1. Download things from trustable sites such as C-Net (Download.com) and reccomended sites like that.
2. Save the file you are downloading and then go to the address that you saved it to, right click, and select the scan option with your security program.
(If you don't have one, try AVG Anti-Virus Free and/or Comodo FireWall Pro.)
3. Just don't download it. If you are unsure of the safety and trustability of the materials you are interested in, just forget it! Be safe.
4. Check the ratings on the software. If no ratings or reviews show up on a search, it may be untrustable.
5. (Reccomended) Just download from Download.com and other popular sites that will show up first on the Google Search.

I hope this helps all of you web surfers/downloaders out there like me.
Here are a few facts that you should know and keep in mind if you are one of these people.
1. Thousands of websites that in truth want your information have "Drive by download".
These can be spyware, keyloggers, ect. and they can be downloaded in a matter of seconds just by clicking a link or scrolling a page.
2. Popups, as you've probably heard, are untrustable. No matter what the rewards promised
for clicking them, don't trust them. Pop-ups sometimes are fakes appearing to be a "You've got mail" icon. That's one too.
